so again, I'm reading through the Bible thinking, oh dear, did I mess up on my reading and read the wrong thing...didn't I already read this story?! Sure enough, we read this in 1 Chron 15:11. Last night I took some time to compare the two and found that some of the order of the story to be different.

I also liked in the Devotional book the comment "Thinking just like the Philistines, the people decided the ark was the problem - not their own behavior". How many times do I blame other people or things for issues or problems I'm having when really it is my own heart issue?! What an awesome eye opener!

What struck me the most is David's dedication to God. He loved God when he was a poor shepherd and he loved Him when He became a rich king with his own palace. He knows that God is the one who gave him everything "How can the ark be in a tenst and I am in a cedar palace?" How often we get closer to God when "we are just poor shephards", and how often we forget about him when "we are in our palaces with cedar."
