I liked in the Devotional book the reminder to consider consequences whether good or bad, before doing something. Also, when it comes to praising God - I liked how David was unconcerned about those around him! The Devotional book challenged us to abandon all our self-awareness and selfishness in order to offer up sacrifice of praise to God...
In our Bible reading - I found the "battle" they had with the 12 on each side very strange and how they each just stabbed one another and died! My study Bible suggested the purpose of this battle was to prevent an all out war - in other words hopefully this would determine the "winner" so a war would not have to occur.
