I found it interesting that Jacob (aka Israel) made the comment when Joseph told him one of the dreams "Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?" (Gen 37:10). First he says mother (plural), which was Rachel, who was dead...why would he say something like that?

Also, we parents strive so hard to be as fair as possible with our children - could you image give your favorite child something super special that would cause all the other children to be jealous?

I liked in the devotional book the comment "Forgiveness. Perhaps the hardest thing to freely offer anyone...Rather than looking at his (Joseph's) past circumstances, however, Joseph looked at God". How often I forget to look at God...
