I liked in the devotional book the comment "rather than busying themselves in finding God's champion, however, Israel's army quivered in fear". I think we all tend to be that way - instead of trying to solve our problems and asking God for help and guidance, we just stand there complaining about all the negative in our lives...we ALL have so much to be thankful for!

I liked, again, the reminder that when you have God in your life, you will have success! (2 Sam 18:14). Also, what an awesome friendship between Jonathan and David - Jonathan risked his own life, several different times, for David and he even turned against his own father.

"If God is with you who will be against you?" (I think it is Paul, the book of Romans). This is the phrase that was in mind through the whole reading today. Saul tried to kill David so many times but never succeeded because God was with him.
