I'm catching up, Ladies! I can't believe the kids are still sleeping (the dog woke me up this morning to go potty!)

Anyway, I like in the devotional book how it told of the story of Sarah's laughter when she overheard that she would have a baby - I think I would have done the same thing! It just demonstrates the lack of faith Sarah had and how her walk with God wasn't that close! For if she had a stronger faith and relationship with God, her first thoughts would have been of praise to God - that He was in charge and had a plan for her! How often do I find myself not thinking that God is in control and "laugh" at the things that happen in my life and those around me!

I liked the clarification in the Bible reading how Pharaoh was punished for taking Sarah as his wife, when he was told that she was Abram's sister. My study Bible had commented on "Why would God punish Pharaoh for an unintentional sin? It answers this by saying this story illustrates how far God is willing to go to protect his own people when they act foolishly. It also shows that the innocent must suffer sometimes for the sins of others..." I know I have, on numerous occasions, wondered why something "bad" was happening to so and so - they didn't deserve it. But God does have a plan! He IS in charge - and like in this story, Pharaoh had to suffer for Abram's sin.
