I have to say, us moms are really important people!!! As we are reading about how each of these men become the new King, the next couple of verses tends to be the name of his mother! That's got to make us feel valued!
I also found it interesting in chapter 17, verse 32&33 that it says "they worshiped the Lord, but they also..." How many times do we add unnecessary and potential sinful things to our worship of the Lord? As humans, I think we tend to make sure we are still in control by doing what we think we need to do instead of truly trusting and just worshiping God 100%!
